Due Diligence, Inc. History
Where It All Began: Fraud Busters, Inc.
In 1984, Fraud Busters, Inc. was created to provide fraud prevention services for clients which included such firms as Pepsi-Cola and Taco Bell.
The Brand Expands: Due Diligence, Inc.
After 5 years of operations, the limitations of the purely fraud prevention focus became clear, and in 1989 the brand was expanded into Due Diligence, Inc. to include the ground-breaking idea of management due diligence. Over the next decade, the organization provided due diligence and fraud prevention services to several hundred companies engaged in financial and investment services, manufacturing, distribution, oil and gas, mining, real estate, international trade, technology transfer, research and development, retail sales, aerospace, and many others.
A New Science is Created: Emergent Intelligence™
In 1993 a long-term research and development (R&D) effort began, and during these years, real world experience, testing, and technology development led to a new paradigm for due diligence systems and the subsequent creation of Due.Com, Inc. and a new science, Emergent Intelligence™. Due.Com, Inc. was created to incubate and develop licensable technology applications of Emergent Intelligence™.
A New Technology is developed for Due Diligence, Inc.
Between 2000 to 2006, these due diligence technologies were refined into the Next Generation Due Diligence™ system, which forms the basis for Due Diligence, Inc.’s core business model: the provision of technology-enabled due diligence products, systems, and services. As part of the license agreement, Due.Com will continue to provide Due Diligence, Inc. research and development efforts to enhance and improve the due diligence applications and the licensed technology underlying it.
